Your first visit

We enjoy taking our time to get to know each of our patients. Your first visit with Dr. Nail will include a consultation and a comprehensive examination during which every tooth will be fully observed in order to help him detect signs of gum disease and cavities. Oral cancer screening is also a routine aspect of our examination process.

You can prepare for your consultation by noting dental concerns, current medications and supplements, and any changes you have noticed in your teeth or gums. It is also helpful if you understand your dental health benefits and our financial policies. If you have questions about either, we are happy to assist you.

If dental problems are identified during your visit, we will discuss your options for repair and the cost associated with restorative care.

Payment for dental treatment is due on the day care is provided. We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard as well as CareCredit, which allows you to make low monthly payments on your services. You may also discuss special financing arrangements with our office manager.

Office Policies/Guidelines


Nobody likes to sit in the waiting room. So we schedule and reserve appointment times specifically for you. Barring unexpected emergencies, we strive to see you promptly at your reserved time and do our best to uphold our reputation for “running on time.” In return, we ask that you arrive promptly and give us at least two days notice if you need to reschedule.


As a courtesy to patients, we will also allow assignment of dental insurance benefits. Before or at the time of service, patients pay the portion of the fee not reimbursed by insurance and we will file for the anticipated insurance payment.

Please understand, however, that the obligation for payment remains with the patient. Accepting reimbursement is simply a courtesy that we extend to insured patients for 30 days after treatment. If an insurance company has not sent reimbursement to the office within 30 days, we do request that the treatment balance be satisfied and ask you to contact the insurance company and encourage them to meet their obligation.
